Siemens Industry has extended its Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal engineering framework with a number of new functions, adding power and efficiency to the existing framework’s capabilities.
The new Radioline wireless system from Phoenix Contact is suitable for wireless signal transmission in the license-free, 2.4GHz frequency band across large sites. I/O mapping is one special feature that distributes signals for up to 250 stations within the system without the need for any programming.
PI's (Physik Instrumente's) new E-482 high-power piezo amplifier/controller provides a 6A peak current at 1,050V in a 19in bench-top unit. The amplifier is suitable for the operation of piezo actuators with high electrical capacitance, such as the PICA piezo actuator series P-225 and P-235.
The Axioline real-time I/O system from Phoenix Contact is now available with Sercos-3 bus coupler. Its advantages include short reaction times and synchronised operation - valuable features for applications involving I/Os and drives that share a common network.
The latest addition to the BVM Group’s stable of 3.5in single board computers for embedded applications is the LS-37B, which supports the latest 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge 22nm Core and the second-generation Sandy Bridge i7/i5/i3 Mobile processors in the rPGA988B socket.
