Instant adhesive offers superior flexibility

Loctite 4902 cyanoacrylate is a highly flexible adhesive, offering elongation of up to 155 percent while syill providing a high-strength bond in seconds.

The elongation of a traditional ‘instant’ is typically less than 2 percent, rivalling the flexibility commonly provided by acrylic and urethane adhesives.

The clear and colourless 4902 also carries the ISO 10993 bio-compatibility standard making it suitable for the assembly of medical devices.

Typically, this low viscosity, single-part adhesive will be used to bond close-fitting, flexible parts; the use of a primer can also enhance the bond strength of difficult-to-bond substrates such as polyethylene or polypropylene.

An activator can also be applied to the surface where larger bond gaps need to be bridged.
