Rugged control panels for vehicle market

EAO have introduced their rugged control panels designed for the transportation and specialist vehicles market. Panels are custom-built with a range of controls including push buttons, keypads, keyboards, emergency-stops, warning lights and membrane switches - all with bright LED illumination.

EAO panels are built in a variety of materials to meet the needs of a specific operating environment. For example, stainless steel fronts are ideal for harsh environments where equipment is at risk from dirt, liquids and heavy impacts, such as a building site. Switches and keypads are also offered in stainless steel to create a fully-protected, sealed interface. EAO supplies custom-built panels for external use in truck and heavy-duty vehicle to operate lifts, ramps and other on-board machinery.

EAO has also seen increased demand for its membrane control panels. The fronts can be quickly customized, as the layout of the functions can be changed without impacting on the PCB connections by using insertable legends. The short-back-panel depth of the membrane switches allows these panels to be integrated within tight spaces. They are also waterproof and very durable. EAO’s supplies membrane panels to the bus and coach sector for driver’s cockpit controls to operate on-board passenger displays; and they are also used within specialist vehicles for the emergency services.
