mineral-reinforced nylon resin offer emergency lighting company, Federal
Signal, improved visibility and lower production cost. Up to six
reflectors are used by the company in various versions of its Vista light
bar for police and other emergency vehicles. Cost savings result from
fast, economical moulding and reductions in part and assembly costs, with
the integration of mounting brackets, lamp holders and other features in
part designs. Minlon mineral-reinforced nylon gives us more uniform
reflectivity than metal stampings, says John Weaver, marketing manager
at Federal Signal. From a safety aspect, unlike metal stampings, the
parts moulded from Minlon have no sharp edges to cut workers' hands.
