Telergon cam switches, which are available in the UK from specialist distributor Switchtec, are rated from 10 to 1,600A and are available in a variety of formats to suit a wide range of power isolation applications. The company is also able to offer a customisation service, should the standard range not meet customer requirements.
The range offers up to 34 different switch positions, switching up to 72 contacts at a time. This makes them particularly versatile for such applications as multiple circuit switching, meter selector switching, or for use in main circuits as load switches for motors, machines, heating equipment, welding equipment, ovens, lighting equipment and so on.
The standard termination method for Telergon cam switches is the cage clamp; however, special terminations, ranging from push on connections to nut and bolt fastening, are available. Customised connections can also be developed to suit specific needs and applications, and all connections are available with IP20 environmental protection.
Accessories and options include IP65 enclosures, pad lockable handles, key operated switches, DIN rail mount switches, push to turn switches, one way rotation, and door interlock devices.
