Delcam's PowerShape hybrid modelling software has been upgraded and the
new version will be shown for the first time in public at CIM'99 (during
Manufacturing Week). The solid modelling operations within the package
have been made much more tolerant of poor quality imported CAD data, and
it is now capable of building - and then working with - solids from
trimmed surfaces that are joined together with coarse tolerances. These
new features will be particularly valued by users undertaking detailed
work on concept designs developed in other CAD systems, as well as for
toolmakers taking product designs from other systems.
