Strainers provide coarse filration without pressure drop

A new range of boss mount strainers which provide effective, coarse level filtration in a compact, low profile, yet robust design have recently been added to the line of safety screens from Lee Products.

These strainers are suitable for lubrication systems or for applications such as large fuel pumps in air-to-air refuelling systems which need a coarse inlet screen to filter out unwanted contaminants and debris, without introducing a pressure drop.

Manufactured from 304L stainless steel they are available in six different thread sizes ranging from 0.750 to 1.875in. They feature a corrugated screen design which ensures a maximum open area for increased debris holding capacity and a single piece element that can withstand differential pressures of up to 500psid without rupture.

With an integral tool slot these strainers can be easily installed and removed for inspection. In addition, standard screen hole sizes include 0.038in and 0.062in for lubrication systems, such as inlet screens for gearbox lubrication pumps or any type of system requiring effective and reliable coarse filtration.
