Distribution boxes and connectors for mobile applications

Murrelektronik's XTREME distribution boxes and connectors are designed to cope with the harsh environments encountered by mobile machinery.

Products used in mobile applications are exposed to wide temperature fluctuations, they are exposed to dust, often cleaned down with high pressure water (IP66K) and chemical cleaning agents (IP69K) and sometimes they are even immersed (IP68). They also need to cope with excessive vibration and oil contamination. To solve these problems, Murrelektronik has introduced a modular series of connector products for mobile applications called XTREME.

The XTREME family comprises:

M12 XTREME – rugged connection cables. All metal parts on these connectors are made of corrosion resistant stainless steel. The hex nut works with Murrelektronik's torque wrench which ensures correct connections.

An axial and radial locking mechanism, along with a specially shaped gasket, ensures stable connections that are vibration resistant. The rugged PUR cable jacket is flexible and both wear- and UV-resistant.

MSUD XTREME – the valve connector for extremely demanding conditions. The valve plugs are fully moulded and sealed, while the silicone gasket resists embrittlement and it is fixed in a way that it cannot get lost. The valve plugs are equipped with an LED status display, and the connectors include integrated suppression components.

MVP XTREME – the impact-resistant and fully potted plastic distribution box that is UV-resistant. It features eight M12 ports that can transfer either one or two signals. The moulded PUR cables are suitable for C-track applications and available in lengths from 3 to 30m.
