Vacon launches AC drives app

Vacon UK has launched an app for the drives industry. Available from the Apple store, it offers a source of easily accessible information about variable speed drives.

Compatible with iPad2 or newer models, running IOS7 or higher, the app helps guide users through the world of ac drives. Information on products, services, specific industries, case studies, brochures, installation and application manuals are available at a click of a button via the free app.

In addition, the app introduces a new type of content – 'Vaconpedia' - where users will be able to find an encyclopaedia of core ac drives technologies and features.

An added benefit is that engineers downloading the app will also be able to integrate their own notes and documents to standard Vacon information sheets, simplifying on-the-go maintenance and repair reports.
