New products from Omega Engineering

Omega Engineering has introduced a new high-speed pressure transducer for harsh environments, plus a 1/16 DIN controller accepting a variety of temperature measuring device inputs.

Omega’s high-speed PX51 USBH output pressure transducer is a rugged, high accuracy low-cost transducer with an all stainless steel construction making it suitable for the harshest environments. It is available in gauge, sealed gauge and absolute pressure models.

The sensor connects directly to your computer, while free downloadable PC software takes the data from the transducer directly to the digital domain, turning your laptop or Windows tablet (with USB connection) into a virtual meter, chart recorder or data logger.  Also included are .NET APIs, and a command set for command-line access. A 2m USB cable is standard.

Meanwhile, the company has launched its CN243 series 1/16 DIN temperature/process controller with J, K, R, S thermocouple inputs. This CE compliant product can monitor and control temperature or process applications with precision using PID or On/Off control.

The dual LED displays local indication of process value and set point value. The CN243 also features process inputs, RTD and thermistor inputs, alarm functions, three step ramp and soak, digital input and password protection.
