Dantech updates its security marking technology with lasers

Dantech is a supplier of security marking stencils and labels. Each order is customised with customers' own unique details and the challenge for Dantech is to complete each order quickly and cost effectively.

Having previously used a mechanical machine to stamp out stencils Dantech looked for a fast and easy way to produce these and in 1998 came across a Synrad laser, an easy-to-operate, standalone laser supplied by Laser Lines.

The software works like a standard drawing program and will easily include special letters, drawings, bar codes and sequential numbering. Production is very fast, taking seconds rather than minutes.

“We chose the Synrad laser because of their long established reputation of supplying CO2 lasers and the easy to use software," says managing director, Ken Christensen. "Laser Lines were very helpful in getting us going with what was at that time a real breakthrough in laser engraving to produce personalised security stencils and labels.

"We have again recently upgraded our laser to the new Fenix Flyer – in fact the third laser we have had from Laser Lines. The software and operating system is nearly the same as previous versions and replacing our old laser was quick and trouble free with the help of Laser Lines qualified engineers."
