ABB Control's PR212/MP microprocessor-based electronic over-current
release is now a standard feature on most of its Isomax S range of motor
protection circuit breakers. The combination enables direct on-line
starting and protection (to IEC 60947-4-1) from a circuit breaker and
contactor, without the need for a thermal relay. Fully integrated within
the circuit breaker, the PR212/MP enables the protection to be
individually tailored to the motor by activating discrete, adjustable
thresholds for overload, rotor blockage, short-circuit and missing and/or
unbalanced phase.
