Composite Couplings Cut Costs

A new flexible-jaw composite shaft coupling from Cross & Morse can be supplied finish-bored and keyed ready for use, yet it costs no more than comparable pilot-bored steel couplings. In addition to these cost savings, users can take advantage of the coupling's reduced weight and improved corrosion resistance. Available from stock in sizes to suit metric shafts from 10mm to 40mm diameter, the mouldd composite bodied coupling is fitted with stainless steel set-screws and a choice of readily interchangeable inserts in nitrile, urethane and Hytrel.
