Stainless steel safety hinge switch for challenging environments

Leuze electronic's S420 stainless steel switches provide a high safety level (SIL 3, PL e) for applications requiring high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

The tamper-proof units are able to tolerate high-pressure cleaning, thanks to a wall-side cable outlet, a high-grade surface with a roughness of less than 0.8 micrometers and IP 69K protection.

Through the six-point bolting of the joint, even heavy doors can be reliably guarded with opening angles of up to 180 degrees.

Four multi-colour LEDs facilitate precise, on-site diagnosis, while an additional signal output is available to indicate door status or for remote control.

The user can select from device versions with contact blocks or safety-related switching outputs. The latter allow a series connection of 32 devices without reducing the safety level.
