Stylish aluminium wall mounting enclosures

METcase has introduced the DATAMET range of aluminium wall cases. These stylish and robust enclosures have been designed for indoor wall mounted electronics. Typical applications will include control units, measurement systems, medical equipment, safety and security systems, communication devices, and machine controllers.

These enclosures consist of a die-cast front bezel which locates onto the folded aluminium case body and rear panel. This three part assembly allows total access to the components and wiring during assembly and maintenance. The rear panel includes mounting points for PCBs and chassis, plus three fixing holes for fixing the unit to a wall, or machine. The under side of the case body can be used for mounting cable glands or connectors. The cases are very easy to assemble, and there are no visible fixing screws on the case body or rear panel.

DATAMET cases are available in three standard sizes: 250 x 180 x 120 mm, 350 x 250 x 120 mm and 400 x 300 x 120 mm. The front bezel is painted window grey, RAL 7040 and the other parts are painted light grey, RAL 7035. The paint finish is textured polyester.

The attractive die-cast front bezel has a recessed aperture for mounting the anodised aluminium front panels. The front panels can be used for mounting membrane keypads, display modules and push-buttons etc. The enclosures can be supplied with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and displays, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. The cases can also be made in non-standard sizes and painted in other colours. Standard prices start at £67.

To coincide with the launch, the complete DATAMET series is available right now from Farnell. The Farnell order codes, for the cases, are 1329970, 1329971 and 1329973 respectively.
