Control Techniques Dynamics has added gearmotor variants to its Unimotor
brushless ac servo motor range, using low backlash planetary gearboxes
that provide ratios between four and 100. The units can be mounted in any
orientation to offer extended motor rated torque and high torsional
rigidity in many high accuracy positioning applications. Unimotor
gearmotors are available with motor speeds of 3,000rpm for frame sizes 75
142mm, and 2,000rpm for frame size 190mm. The motors are three-phase, six
or eight pole synchronous motors that ensure minimal cogging torque in a
choice of low or high rotor inertia.
