Originally designed for pump applications, Control Techniques Dynamics'
new 115mm frame, 48V brushless dc motor with integral drive electronics
can be adapted for use in other applications requiring a reliable, high
torque, low speed motor with minimal maintenance overhead. Although the
motor core is capable of 2kW, the unit is currently supplied de-rated at
around 0.75kW. Rated speed is 1,100rpm, and this can be trimmed via a
potentiometer, mounted in the connector box, to optimise performance.
Rated and stall torque/current peaks are 6.5Nm /21A and 8.0Nm/28A
respectively.
