Frameless Servomotor Meets Demand For Lower Cost .

Frameless servomotor meets demand for lower cost Control Techniques Dynamics' new 55 series ac brushless permanent magnet servomotor responds to customer demand for a low cost, compact motor offering high torque/volume performance and positioning accuracy. The frameless three-phase unit has a cross-section of 55mm square, and is available in three lengths of 106mm (0.65Nm), 136mm (1.1Nm) and 166mm (1.4Nm). Improved thermal performance is assured, thanks to the vacuum impregnated stator assembly - the first of CTD's motors to incorporate this new technology. Other features include compatibility with both sinusoidal and trapezoidal drives, low cogging and high torque/inertia ratio. A 2,048 pulse/revolution encoder is included as standard with the motor, while nominal winding designs are available for speeds of 3,000rpm or 5,000rpm.
