Ace Controls International has introduced a range of hydraulic dampers, which offer a smoother, more consistent damping force, thanks to a novel balance chamber within the device that ensures constant travel speed. Three models are available – HBS 28, 35 and 70 – with stroke lengths from 50 to 800mm. These adjustable devices are maintenance free, self-contained sealed units with zinc plated steel bodies and hard chrome plated piston rods. Versatile and easy to install, they can be fitted in any position, and are available with a wide range of end fittings. Typical applications include machine guards and lids, fire safety flaps and doors, damping oscillations of suspended loads, smoke and roof vents and much more.
