Materialise and Dimension in new rapid prototyping partnership

Materialise and Dimension have teamed up to develop ‘Dimension Magics’, a customised version of Materialise’ Magics software specially tuned to the specific requirements of production on Dimension 3D printers. Dimension desktop 3D printers produce functional 3D models directly from CAD systems, giving CAD users a fast, office-friendly and low-cost alternative for building functional 3D models.

“Dimension Magics is the perfect interface between product design and the Dimension 3D printer, offering several advantages to RP professionals”, says Johan Pauwels, Materialise’ Software Sales Director. This customised, state-of-the-art software enables Dimension users to prepare their entire build job as efficiently as possible and in a very easy and intuitive way.”

“By using Dimension Magics, file and platform preparation become exceptionally intuitive and user friendly processes, smoothly guiding Dimension users through the entire pre-production phase”, says Jonathan Cobb of Dimension. “We want to provide our customers with a powerful tool to get the very best from their Dimension 3D printer investment and this Dimension-specific version of Magics undoubtedly allows them to do so.”
