New mainstream pressure and temperature transmitters from Delta

A new range of pressure and temperature transmitters has been launched by Delta Controls. The rugged, high performance D-Series has three main variants, measuring pressure, differential pressure and temperature.

The devices are suitable for use in hazardous areas, and are certified for use in Zone 0 and 1 (gas) and Zone 20 and 21 (dust) explosive atmospheres.

The D-Series are mainstream transmitters comparable with similar devices from other leading manufacturers in terms of performance and reliability, but with a significant price advantage.

Reading accuracy of the units is 0.075 percent for ambient temperatures between -40°C and +80°C. Casings are either cast aluminium alloy or stainless steel, and provide environmental protection to IP66/IP67.

The transmitters have a long-term stability of three years, and are available with the HART communications protocol. The company offers a high level of technical support and helps customers understand how to set up and use the units.

A rotatable LCD display with LED backlight enables the output to be easily read in situ under poor lighting conditions.

The units can be remotely calibrated, configured and monitored using a laptop computer running Delta Controls' D-Soft remote communication software. This software provides a wide range of functions, including identification of the individual transmitter, configuration of output parameters and readings of currently measured values.

A number of other variants in the range are available, including units with remote chemical seals for flow or level measurement.
