Camozzi Pneumatics has extended its range of components with the introduction of a rodless cylinder Series 52. These new cylinders are suitable for most applications where straight line movement is required. A wide range of loads can be accommodated as there are three carriage versions available - standard, slide bearing and roller bearings.
Initially there is a choice of three diameters: 25, 32 and 40mm with others planned for release later in the year. Any stroke length up to 6000mm can be supplied.
Rodless pneumatic cylinders generally offer a space saving solution; however, each version of Camozzi’s Series 52 is available with optional extra short carriages, meaning even less space is required, making them suitable for a wider range of industrial applications.
As a further option each cylinder can be fed with air from only one side, if required, rather than having to run pipe work to both end covers, therefore making installation easier. Costs can also be reduced as the inherent design of rodless cylinders removes the need for external guides.
All Series 52 cylinders include end stroke cushioning for improved lifetime performance. Grooves on three sides of the cylinder face can accommodate proximity switches to accurately detect the cylinder position.
