Cognex has developed a new Data Matrix reading technology, called IDMax,
which is claimed to deliver robust and reliable Direct Part Mark code
reading for a range of marking technologies. New ID readers introduced by
the company are able to read these codes and verify that the marking
quality meets international standards. There are two hand-held readers:
one for laser and ink-jet marks and the other for dot peen and chemically
etched codes.
