A new industrial connector hood with an integrated cable gland has been added to the Han 3A Series from HARTING. The new hood has been developed to aid the integration of data and power interfaces in the industrial environment: in particular, the need for patch cables to be integrated into industrial connector assemblies. The integrated cable gland also helps to reduce inventory levels.
The new Han 3 A hood combines a robust metal housing with a compact design whose dimensions are optimised for compatibility with data communications interfaces. Harnesses for USB, Firewire and RJ 45 interfaces can be integrated into the connector, which has an overall height 25% less than earlier assemblies. The new hood features a wide clamping range for cable diameters from 5 to
13 mm.
