Micromini hybrid stepper motors from Astrosyn

Astrosyn International Technology has introduced a new size 8 range of miniature hybrid stepper motors to complement its size 11 series, continuing the company's programme to miniaturise these powerful precision motors.

Their compact size combined with high torque, smooth movement and low inertia opens up many new applications where space is at a premium.

There are two models in the size 8 range, which can be configured for unipolar or bipolar drives. The smallest of the size 8 models has a body length of only 30mm, while delivering a holding torque of 1.7Ncm. The larger model provides a 3.2Ncm holding torque but is still only 47mm long.

The motors are suitable for applications such as modelling, gaming equipment, robotics, laboratory sampling and medical instrumentation, as well as for controlling CCTV cameras.
All the models offer high accuracy with a step angle of 1.8 degrees.
