HBM’s latest MP85A FASTpress controller removes problems associated with the press-fitting of valve rods in cylinder head assemblies by monitoring the complete process with its PME Assistant. The PME Assistant assigns tolerance windows with individual evaluation criteria to each valve rod on the cylinder head. This enables potential problem spots to be identified immediately using force-displacement characteristics. Date, component, and serial number through to the desired spot for press-fitting on the cylinder head can be selectively searched for.
The PME Assistant also carries out data acquisition and conditioning while NIO curves are quickly found using the protocol browser. The MP85A FASTpress connects to machine controllers using an industrial Profibus fieldbus and TCP/IP protocols.
