Functional safety without safe I/O modules

The new Safe AI solution package from Phoenix Contact processes safety-related analogue values.

With this TÜV-certified and software-based safety system, safety-related analogue I/O modules are no longer required. The package also includes a consultation service provided by the company.

With Safe AI, an automation system for Profinet applications is available for the first time, which can process physical measured values in a safety-related way in the standardised 4-20mA signal range, based on standard sensors.

No safe analogue input modules need be installed, since the safe processing of signals is fully performed by the software.

As the package is TÜV-certified, safety functions up to levels SIL3 and PLe can be implemented.
