Monitran has introduced the g-mac accelerometer signal conditioning module, featuring signal conditioning and filtering circuitry for identifying the small amplitude, high-frequency elements that provide an early indication of wear in bearings and gears. The g-mac can also be used as a versatile and low-cost general-purpose accelerometer signal conditioning unit, and can be integrated into wired and wireless networks in order to facilitate the remote monitoring of vibrations in a wide range of industrial applications.
The product is supplied in a standard DIN format for rail mounting, can accept any standard two-wire accelerometer, and provides three different outputs. These outputs are: a bespoke acceleration signal (proportional to 4-20mA or 0-10V DC); an ISO 10816-3 overall root mean squared (RMS) velocity signal (also proportional to 4-20mA or 0-10V DC); and the raw, alternating current (AC) generated by the accelerometer.
