Schneider Electric is to unveil a new entry-level servo drive and low inertia motor combination which is intended to address the needs of those manufacturers that previously found the costs of servo motion control too high or the programming too complicated. One of the key features of the new Lexium products will be their simplified programming and installation. The new products are designated the Lexium 05 servo drive range from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric. Positioned alongside the established Altivar range of ac inverters, Altistart motor starters, the Modicom, Quantum and Unity PLCs, Magelis HMIs, sensors, switches, relays and pushbuttons, all within the Telemecanique portfolio, the new Lexium products will complete a total automation and control package.
Schneider Electric UK is seeking to appoint a small number of highly specialised systems integrators for its brand new Lexium motion offering. The new authorised integrators will be assigned to assist new users in getting to grips with the use of servo motion in a broad variety of machine control applications. Those companies that meet stringent requirements will join a small group of businesses with unfettered access to both Schneider Electric’s new products and also its technical expertise.
