The Dubo sealing/locking ring range from Challenge Industrial Fastenings
can be used singly or in combination with a toothed collar ring when load
conditions dictate. These polyamide rings are available for threaded
fasteners in the M2-M52 size range, and are resistant to many chemicals.
They are complemented by the Korrex range of insulating bushes and nut
caps.
The shape of the ring is such that as the bolt is screwed home, the
thread is gripped along the internal circumference and in the bolt hole.
This brings into effect additional frictional forces, which make it
impossible for the ring to rotate around the bolt. Apart from their
sealing properties, the rings also protect underlying surfaces, introduce
a level of sound insulation, electrical isolation and corrosion
protection.
