Combined switch and display offers convenient pressure reading

Schneider Electric's new OsiSense ZMLP is a switch complete with display that offers easy access to pressure information, even when the transmitter itself is placed in a hard-to-reach location.

The OsiSense ZMLP can be mounted away from the pressure transmitter, using a quick-fix bracket to attach to a horizontal or vertical plane or pipe. The device can also be placed directly on the pressure transmitter via an M12 connector. In addition, the body of the switch can rotate for easy adjustment of viewing angle.

To complete the configuration, only three parameters need to be defined: display range, set point, and reset point. These are adjustable via two screws with a universal head that is compatible with standard screwdrivers.

At each device start up, all segments of the display briefly light up to confirm that it is operating correctly. The OsiSense ZMLP can be replaced independently of the pressure transmitter while the system is in use.
