Adhesive tape meets industry standards for glass partitioning

tesa ACXplus 7058 has received three industry certifications from Tecnalia and IFT Rosenheim, acknowledging its ability to fulfill essential performance criteria in internal partitioning applications.

One of the latest additions to the tesa ACXplus 705X range, tesa ACXplus 7058 offers a quick, reliable and highly transparent bond for glass partitions in internal spaces such as reception areas, meeting rooms, catering areas and the like.  To assess its suitability for purpose, both of the testing institutes put the tape through a series of physical tests.

Following the Guidelines for European Technical Approval for Internal Partition Kits for use as non load-bearing walls, Tecnalia conducted different strength tests leading to tesa ACXplus 7058’s accreditation in the areas of safety in use, mechanical resistance and stability.

Using the EN ISO 10140-2 standard in a laboratory measurement of sound insulation, Tecnalia also conducted tests on ST-200 and ST-201 glass partition walls bonded with tesa ACXplus 7058, certifying the tape in accordance with the sound reduction index.

Observing the IFT Guideling DI-02/1, IFT Rosenheim awarded its IFT DI 02/1 certificate to tesa ACXplus 7058 in recognition of the tape’s excellent compatibility with the PVB on laminated safety glass.

tesa’s ACXplus range is well recognised for its novel visco-elastic properties, which provide good stress dissipation across different substrates. Whether used on glass to glass, glass to metal applications such as aluminium or steel or with a transparent thermoplastic such as PMMA, the tapes offer a reliable result with rapid, straightforward application.

tesa ACXplusalso meets the UL 746C standard rating for electrical equipment.
