item's new preassembled fastener speeds assembly

Installed in next to no time, straight out of the box, the new D30 fastener from item can cut machine frame assembly time by up to 62 percent.

The D30 fastener is the latest addition to item's LP Building Kit System and is the latest development in the company's lean manufacturing philosophy.

Using this new fastener allows assembly time reductions of as much as 62 percent, compared with conventional fasteners that are supplied as separate parts.

And there is no premium to pay either. The Fastener is supplied pre-assembled and can be installed straight away.

Its two halves are connected so that they hold together during transport and then slot easily over Profile Tube D30. It only takes a few turns of a screwdriver to secure them in place.

Tests have shown that up to three pre-assembled fasteners can be fitted in the same amount of time it takes to install a conventional fastener.

The D30 can also be disassembled and then screwed back together as required.
