Brushless dc motors with integral brake

Oriental Motor presents the BLE series of brushless dc motors, which, equipped with a brake, is also capable of carrying out vertical movements.

The BLE series supplements the existing product range of Brushless dc motors . With this addition, Oriental Motor now responds to the growing demand for compact, stable speed motors in more detail.

The new motor is especially suited for vertical movement applications, as it can be equipped with an optional electromagnetic brake.

The BLE motor is available in the frame sizes 60, 80 and 90mm, and provides a power output from 30 to 120W. The speed range of the new series extends from 100 to 4,000rpm and, as with all brushless dc motors, the torque remains stable over the entire speed range.

The two available gear types, spur and hollow shaft flat gears, are specially hardened to realise the high speeds of the brushless dc motors. At 10,000 operating hours, a service life double that of other gears is provided for.

In the 90 mm size, the drive with spur gears reaches a maximum torque of 30 Nm. The hollow shaft flat gear system is more solid and thus reaches a higher torque on the basis of its design. The value is 68Nm for BLE in 90mm.

BLE is planned for an operating voltage of 200 – 240Vac, corresponds to protection type IP 65 and has the CE mark.
