Polyurethane Seal Is Effective Across Entire Ph Range

Unlike conventional polyurethane seals, Ceetak's new P5500 seals offer high resistance to hydrolysis in aqueous media, strongly alkaline fluids and concentrated acid solutions. The elasticity and resilience of the range is particularly beneficial to applications involving continual flexing, including pneumatic and hydraulic wiper seals and diaphragms. The material also offers high stability across the temperature range -20°C to +800°C. P5500 seals are compatible with polyalphaolefins, silicones and perfluorinated polyethers, and they are claimed not to suffer hydrolytic degeneration in moist environments.
