For applications such as air cylinders and valve actuators, which require
long piston strokes, Ceetak's 'Top Hat' rolling diaphragms provide a good
seal without stiction. The top hat shaped diaphragm is installed with its
centre fastened to the piston head and its rim gripped between the faces
of the cylinder retention flanges. The seals, which are moulded with
concentric 3D contours, can be supplied reinforced for high pressure/long
stroke applications. Reinforced seals comprise a polyester or polyamide
fabric to which a tough, flexible elastomer is bonded on one or both
sides.
