Ceetak has launched a service for the custom design and manufacture of
special purpose rubber seals and gaskets. A key offering of the new
service is a free design and rapid prototyping facility, providing
technical advice and practical assistance on issues ranging from material
selection to sealing profiles, compression sets, groove sizes and
assembly technique.
Once the seal or gasket is designed, prototyped and tested, it can go
into volume production. Material choices include silicones, NBR,
perfluoroelastomers and HBNR, plus high- and low-temperature materials
and those manufactured for special applications (IP rating or conductive
properties, for example).
