IDS extends USB 3.0 camera portfolio with three new families

IDS (Imaging Development Systems) now offers three new USB 3.0 camera families in addition to its USB 3 uEye CP series, which was first introduced to the market in 2011.

The housed USB 3 uEye LE camera version is light but also robust enough for industrial environments. Its C/CS-Mount lens mount also allows for wide-angled lenses.

USB 3 uEye LE board-level camera is easily integrated thanks to its tiny size and is suitable for embedded systems such as medical devices and instrumentation.

The USB 3 uEye ML is light and robust, weighs in at only 41g with a size of 47x46x28mm yet offers all benefits of an industrial camera. The USB 3 uEye ML is suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to two GPIOs, opto-decoupled trigger and flash. Its C/CS lens mount allows for a large selection of lenses - wide-angles lenses included.

All models are equipped with the latest CMOS sensors from Aptina and e2v with resolutions from 1.3 to 5 Megapixel. In addition, IDS’ special implemented sensor features guarantee extra functionality and high detail accuracy for light and speed critical applications. e2v’s 1.3 Megapixel sensor is also available in a NIR enhanced version.

IDS has simplified switching from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 technology thanks to its Software Suite which works for all IDS cameras. In addition, the USB 3 uEye LE features the same footprint as the USB 2.0 model, simplifying the upgrade to USB 3.0 technology.
