Enclosure cooling in harsh conditions

Rittal’s specially treated TopTherm cooling units provide the ideal solution for corrosive environments. Available in either mild or stainless steel, all external surfaces and internal components are coated to offer protection against hostile air bound substances. The treatment is comprehensive and substantially lengthens the life of the components in harsh conditions.

All internal elements in contact with contaminated air are completely coated in 2K-PUR-coating, including refrigerant pipe surfaces and soldered joints, evaporator and condenser coils and bent tubes. All external sheet metal is coated according to RIQSWIN.013 (standard coating for chemical environmental conditions).

The treatment provides protection against diesel, oils, emulsions, ammonia vapours, hydrogen sulphide, vapours of sulphuric acid, dilutions pH10 – pH4 at room temperature, and even room temperate ethanol, isobutene and benzene for 5 minutes. Performing up to 100oC the coating adheres well on the surfaces of copper, steel, aluminium and zinc and is resistant against yellowing and weathering.

Chemical versions are available on request and retain all the benefits of Rittal’s TopTherm cooling units including fault diagnosis, PLC/network connection, master-slave system, air duct system, and aluminium filters as accessories.
