New sensor developments from SICK

SICK has developed a new mounting design for the compact SICK G10 sensor family, enabling installation of new or replacement optical sensors in just ten seconds. Also new is a pressure switch suitable for hygienic applications.

SICK's Q-mount screwless system means you can set up the G10 on its bracket with just a few simple clicks. The sensor’s rugged protective plastic housing is designed to take hard knocks in heavy duty jobs inside or outside and it is easy to integrate into most industrial, logistics or materials handling applications and will be especially attractive where many of the same sensors are used together.

Also new from SICK is the PBSH pressure switch, which is suitable for pressure control applications in food and beverage processes. It combines hygienic stainless steel wetted parts with a heavy duty plastic housing featuring a bright, highly visible display to provide direct indication of process pressure.

In addition, industry standard electrical output signals provide constant feedback to the process PLC.  A seal free construction ensures that the PBSH resists the aggressive and high-temperature CIP/SIP cleaning and sterilising regimes employed in the food and beverage industry.

The SICK PBSH Hygienic is an innovative electronic pressure switch suitable for gauge, vacuum and absolute pressure measurement with a variety of measuring ranges from -1 to 0 bar, up to 0 to +25 bar.  It’s  versatility in meeting process requirements is enhanced by the capability of the PBSH housing to be rotated so that the electrical connections, display and control buttons face the optimum direction for an installation.
