The Racor Filter Division Europe of Parker Hannifin has introduced a range of small craft filters specifically designed to ensure cleaner systems, increased filtration efficiency and engine protection in the marine industry. The new Racor 400 and 600 series spin-on filters are fire tested to BS EN 7840:2004 and fulfil the requirements of ISO 10088:2001 small craft directive.
Racor 400 and 600 series filters are particularly suitable for use in marine applications where space is at a premium or where there is a need to mount the filter directly onto the engine. Furthermore, the new lightweight filters feature a re-usable anodised aluminium bowl and a rugged aluminium mounting head.
The new 400 and 600 series filters incorporate Parker’s latest Aquabloc II semi synthetic water separating filter media, specially developed to provide optimal filter efficiency, this high performance media cleans the fuel and removes any water, as well as filtering out almost all sediment, algae, rust, dust, and other contaminants. Additionally, these filters use a specially treated semi-synthetic filter media to ensure optimum filtration and water separation performance.
The filters are available in three sizes, 60g/h, 90g/h and 160g/h, and can be supplied with either the 400 series aluminium head incorporating a manual primer pump or the 600 series head without the primer pump.
