Festo adds 'Embedded Coach' to Service Ambassador programme

Festo Didactic is further extending its renowned Service Ambassador training programme to help teams secure maximum benefit from knowledge and skills acquired through training. Known as 'Embedded Coach', the latest course equips managers and team leaders with the tools and skills they need to act as mentors and coaches for their teams.

Festo Didactic's Embedded Coach course is specifically designed to help companies maximise their return-on-investment in personnel training. Research has shown that without proper guidance, few people retain more than 20% of the knowledge they gain on training courses for more than 3-4 weeks. It is for precisely this reason that Festo decided to introduce the Embedded Coach course, which encourages continuous development through reflective learning.

According to Gary Wyles, Managing Director of Festo UK Ltd, "Embedded Coach has been developed by our Festo Didactic Training and Consulting division here in Great Britain. Our customers need personnel training to improve business performance in as cost-effective manner as possible. We see that many companies who are forward thinking enough to invest in developing their work force then fail to maximise the impact of their investment by not planning the process effectively. One big step is to embed coaching skills into their culture. In doing so, staff development is more effective, change processes are more efficient and the investment can contribute to employee satisfaction or motivation."

Festo Didactic's Embedded Coach course is offered as a two day open workshop but can also be adapted to suit individual company's needs and align with existing training programs. Festo Didactic can also offer pre- and post-course on-site consultancy where necessary. The course is highly participative, and includes presentations, partner activities, discussion sessions, practical exercises, video material, workbooks and a personal development plan for each participant.
