Structural acrylic adhesive for plastics and sheet metals

Eurobond Adhesives has introduced a hybrid structural acrylic adhesive to complement their Penloc range of toughened structural acrylic adhesives. Penloc VT is a two-part rapid bonding adhesive designed to bond most metals, plastics, ceramics, FRP and composites in any combination. Penloc VT will cure to a handling strength in 10 to 15 minutes dependant on the ambient temperature and to a working strength in just one hour which makes it ideally suited for bonding large surface areas such as laminating plastic vehicle body panels and bonding large sheet metal products etc.

Using a structural adhesive can improve on more traditional mechanical fixing methods, by eliminating distortion and surface blemishes caused by welding, soldering or riveting. It also eliminates the need to refinish and polish welded work, saving both time and money.

Penloc VT demonstrates high lap-shear strength, T-peel strength and impact strength. Typical shear strengths of 300kg/cm² can be achieved on steel to steel applications.
