A cable conduit system for tough applications

TE Connectivity's Maulflex conduit is a light-weight, flexible shielded electrical system for rugged duties, such as the protection of ground support test equipment cables in aerospace applications.

Maulflex is an integrated harnessing system composed of three layers. The outer layer is made up of helical conduit construction and is crush-resistant and flexible. The shielding layer (one or two layers of shielding braid) provides EMI protection, while the internal layer (fabric mesh) protects wires from chafing.

All components are RoHS compliant and offer low off-gassing. The Maulflex conduit provides flexibility in a light-weight, environmentally sealed and mechanically protected EMI shielded conduit system.

The conduit can be combined with heat shrink boots and backshells for a complete water-tight shielded system that is flexible, versatile and light-weight for tough environments where temperatures range up to 200 degC.

The conduit system protects integrated harnessing systems while allowing re-entry and repair.
