Press-in inserts offer good pull-out and torque resistance

Spirol Industries has added two new press-in versions to its standard product offering. The new range of Press-in inserts can be installed either manually or automatically, using equipment ranging from a simple arbor press through to full automation of part and insert. The brass press-in inserts have a helical knurl designed to optimize plastic migration into the knurl, providing good pull-out and torque resistance.

In addition, a generous pilot ensures proper alignment of the insert to the hole and perpendicularity after installation. This insert series is ideal for ABS and polycarbonate plastics in applications such securing circuit boards and displays onto plastic housings. Spirol Series 50 is a through hole press-in insert and Spirol Series 51 is a headed, through hole press-in insert.
