WAGO's Series 773 range of quick-fit connectors has been granted Exe approvals on compliance with both the EC 94/9-ATEX directive and the American UL standard. This means they are now suitable for use in gas environments, zones 1 and 2 as well as zones 21 and 22 dust environments. The connectors can be used with solid and stranded (7 strands or less) conductors form 0.75mm² to 2.5mm². Installation simply requires stripping 12mm of the cable and pushing the wire fully into one of the clamping units. Following this straightforward procedure will guarantee a gas tight connection every time.
With the addition of a mounting carrier that can be fitted to a DIN 35 rail, 773 connectors provide significant benefits where compact connections are required. A single carrier can hold the 2, 4, 6, and 8 pole connectors in any combination up to a maximum of 16 clamping units, which means that much smaller junction boxes can be used.
