Now available from Aerco is a new single pole, high current engine connector from AB Connectors that overcomes the long standing problem of thermal damage to the insulator that is experienced on many contemporary products of this type. The use of advanced material technology in the ABSP range has solved this problem of insulator breakdown while improving thermal performance. Suitable for use in high temperature, high current applications such as engines or auxiliary power units on military vehicles, the ABSP delivers a continuous current up to 600A at a temperature rating of 180ºC. The connectors are proof to 3kV and offer an insulation resistance of 5,000MΩ.
