New Parker Hannifin product outlet in Scotland

Parker Hannifin has opened a new ParkerStore in Livingston, in conjunction with Robbie Fluid Engineering, supplier of fluid engineering services and equipment to Central Scotland. The store offers a combination of Parker’s large product range with a high level of customer support from experienced engineers, including a 24/7 'Hose Doctor' service.

The ParkerStore concept has developed from a hose and fittings trade counter to a globally branded network of retail centres selling Parker’s motion and control products. The stores are operated by approved distributors and focus on providing products and services to local users of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Robbie Fluid Engineering was founded by brothers Mark and David Robbie. Mark Robbie, Managing Director, said of the opening, “We will be stocking a comprehensive range of Parker products, including hydraulic tube, hoses and fittings for most applications, all of which are backed by our high standard of technical and customer services and supported where required by Parker. In addition, we’ll be providing a dedicated hose and fittings assembly service, so customers can have a complete replacement unit made while they wait.”

The new ParkerStore also operates two Parker Hose Doctor vans. Hose Doctor is an emergency replacement service for hydraulic hoses and fittings and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help engineers minimise plant or equipment downtime, aiming to reach each customer’s site within one hour of accepting a job. In addition, Hose Doctor also offers a routine preventative maintenance service, to help customers maximise their performance.

The vehicles are stocked with an extensive range of Parker hoses, hose fittings, quick couplers, and adaptors to cover all eventualities. Parker’s range of hoses and accessories offers cost effective replacements for most original equipment manufacturer parts.
