Dual output power supply for both medical and industrial applications

XP Power's dual output EMH350 series of 350W ac-dc power supplies are supplied in an industry standard 4 x 6in footprint, are typically 87 percent efficient, and provide two outputs rated up to 200W each with a combined maximum output of 350W.

The series comprises five models with a combination of six different output voltages from 12 to 60Vdc. Outputs are also capable of being connected in series in order to provide a single output up to 120Vdc. All models include an additional 12V/0.6A fan output and a 5V/2A standby output. Signal and control functions include ac OK/power fail, inhibit, current share and remote sense.

Two mechanical versions of the EMH350 are available. A ‘U’ channel format measuring 101.6 x 152.4 x 39.8mm is available without a fan, or the end-fan option that integrates a variable speed fan and adds 25.4mm to the length and 4.7mm to the height. When using the ‘U’ channel format external cooling of only 16cfm is required. The operating temperature range is from 0 °C to +70 °C with no derating until +50 °C.

The EMH350 series complies with both the international recognised safety standard UL/EN/IEC 60950 for IT equipment and the 3rd edition medical safety standard ANSI/AAMI/EN/IEC 60601, including risk management. The medical approval covers body floating (BF) applications where the end equipment may be connected to the patient. The units meet EN55011/22 Level B for conducted emissions.

The EMH350 series is available from Farnell, element14, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and come with a three year warranty.
