Easy-to-wire, compact monitoring relays

The new EMD-BL compact monitoring relays from Phoenix Contact monitor current, voltage, and phase sequence efficiently and reliably.

They are space-saving and equipped with push-in connectors for quick, tool-free wiring. The product family includes four types of devices.

For single-phase networks, there is a voltage monitoring relay with measurement ranges up to 24V ac/dc and 230Vac, in addition to the current monitoring relays for alternative currents up to 10A.

In three-phase networks, an additional voltage monitoring relay detects ac voltages up to 400V/230V with adjustable measurement ranges. A phase monitoring relay indicates errors in the phase sequence, phase failure, and asymmetries in networks up to 480Vac/277Vac.

All parameters, such as the tripping delay, can be easily adjusted using the rotary switch located on the front. LEDs provide quick on-site analysis.

Versions are available that need no external supply, as it is taken from the measuring circuit.
